Bulk remapping for Support at Home: Services, third party and membership plans

Support at Home transition series: Step 3, 4 & 5 of 10

With Support at Home going live from 1 July, providers across Australia are deep in the process of mapping existing CHSP services to the new categories, pricing, and delivery rules.

To make this easier, Lookout brings you bulk remapping — a flexible, fast way to transition your existing services to the new framework in just a few clicks.

If you’re delivering a high volume of services or working across multiple regions and funding sources, bulk remapping can save days (or weeks) of admin. And it’s not just about moving faster — it’s also about reducing errors and ensuring compliance from day one.

Inside the product: Bulk remapping toolkit

Lookout’s bulk remapping functionality spans three areas:

  1. HCP visits and recurring rules: Map all existing and future visit rules to their appropriate Support at Home service types and rates—including both recurring and exceptional visits.
  2. Purchase orders (POs) and third-party services: Update all current and pending purchase orders to reflect the new Supprt at Home service categories, ensuring claimable invoices and accurate service mapping.
  3. Real-time visibility via dashboards: Monitor progress across visits, services, and purchase orders using the Support at Home analytics dashboard.

Here’s how it works, what’s covered so far, and what’s coming next.

How bulk remapping works

Bulk remapping lets you update existing CHSP services across your data — including service types, price items, rate groups and contracts — and align them with Support at Home.

You can then apply changes to:

  • Service templates – what coordinators and schedulers use to create new services
  • In-progress services – anything booked or approved for future delivery
  • Membership plans – pre-set bundles of recurring services, like weekly visits
  • Unrostered services – any client-initiated services in the pipeline

This ensures your whole organisation is using the correct categories, pricing, and delivery logic — without having to re-enter every service manually.

Live now

We’ve rolled out bulk remapping so you can apply them to these today:

1. Service Templates

You can now remap individual or bulk templates from CHSP to SaH, applying updated price items, rate groups and contracts. The system keeps the rest of your delivery logic — like duration or worker tags — intact.

2. In-Progress Services

Any services already scheduled (or approved) past 1 July can be quickly updated in bulk. These changes won’t affect service records prior to that date, and all updates are logged for reporting and audit.

3. Membership Plans

If your organisation uses Membership Plans to group repeatable services — like weekly cleaning or physio — we’ve added remapping here too. That means you can update dozens (or hundreds) of recurring plan items at once to reflect new Support at Home rules. More on that below.

Inside the product - practical example: Updating membership plans

Membership plans let you group regular services for a client, under one plan with a set frequency and delivery pattern. They’re a powerful tool under CHSP — and just as relevant under Support at Home.

The challenge? You may have hundreds of plans running past 1 July, all of which need to use the new Support at Home categories and pricing.

That’s where bulk remapping comes in.

Now you can:

  • Filter for active plans that include service items after 30 June
  • Apply new Support at Home categories, price items and rate groups
  • Save the changes — all future services are now mapped correctly

The original scheduling and structure of the plan stays the same. Clients keep their familiar routine, and you stay aligned with the new guidelines.

It’s a powerful way to update service logic at scale, without recreating every plan from scratch.

What’s coming next

We’re continuing to expand bulk remapping to support more edge cases and service models. Look out for claiming logic and budget integration for remapped services, bulk adjustments for historical services if needed and guidance on how to update and handle client initiated services under S@H.

Inside the product - bulk remapping benefits

  • Bulk action speed with precision – no more manual one-by-one updates.
  • System-wide clarity – see mapped vs unmapped services at a glance.
  • Flexible workflows – test changes in sandbox, make live updates anytime.

The bottom line

Bulk remapping isn’t just efficient — it’s a key part of staying confident and compliant under Support at Home.

Whether you're managing a dozen clients or thousands, these tools are designed to get you ready faster, with less risk and more control.
